Valley West Auxiliary Spring Luncheon & Volunteer Recognition

Valley West Community Hospital Volunteers were honored at the Auxiliary’s Annual Spring Meeting and Luncheon on May 26 for their contributions during 2010. In addition to the annual business meeting and installation of officers, board members were recognized for their service to the Auxiliary, and the Valley West Auxiliary was recognized by the Illinois Hospital Association (IHA) for continued support and involvement.
Jana Kingston, Volunteer Services Coordinator, honored volunteers for hours of service donated to Valley West in 2010, and each recipient received a gift card and long-stemmed rose.
Volunteers donating between 300 – 400 hours were Betty Hargraves and Diane Pearson.
Volunteers accumulating 1,000 hours or more were Jo Adrian, Mary Grasch, Diane Pearson and Becky Smits.
Sara Taylor was recognized for 5,000+ accumulated hours of service since she began volunteering in 2004. She also received a pin for 1,149 hours donated in 2010.
The following volunteers donated 500 hours and received their Club 500 pin: Linda McVicker and Sue Morgan.
Following Volunteer Recognition and lunch, the Valley West Auxiliary hosted “A Walk Down Memory Lane” with author and speaker, Rochelle Pennington.
