KishHealth Foundation Welcomes New Executive Director

Marcy Rubic has been named executive director of KishHealth Foundation, succeeding Renee Ellingson, who is assuming a new position within KishHealth System.
Rubic, of Naperville, brings a wealth of knowledge to her new position with 14 years of experience in healthcare fundraising. She has implemented major gifts, annual funds, planned giving and special programs, generating millions of dollars in support during her career. She begins her duties Oct. 31.
Rubic’s previous positions include development director for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, The Children’s Clinic, and the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America. Rubic also was executive director of Copley Healthcare Foundation at Rush-Copley Medical Center and sponsorship manager at Healthcare Financial Management Association. She became a certified fundraising executive (CFRE) in 2003 and earned a master’s degree from DePaul University in 2004, focusing on effective fundraising in health-related non-profits.
Kevin Poorten, KishHealth System president and CEO, said, “Marcy’s experience and work with comparable organizations will be an asset to our organization and allow her to build on the success of Renee’s leadership and the work of our health foundation board.
Ellingson has been on the KishHealth System staff for 11 years and Health Foundation executive director for the past six. She is transferring to a new position in physician relations.Share |
