New Director at Valley West
August 06, 2010Valley West Community Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of Colleen Ankrom, as the new Director of Medical/Surgical/ICU and Hospital Supervisors.
At Valley West Community Hospital, part of the KishHealth System, patients enjoy high nurse-to-patient ratios in a setting that allows families to stay close during a family member’s hospitalization.
As director, Ankrom plans will work closely with the physicians at Valley West to ensure that all patients are part of Valley West’s patient-centered care model, which puts patients at the center of care to create the best possible experience while they are in the hospital.
“We have a very professional, caring and highly-trained staff. Our goal is to provide each patient with the best possible care,” Ankrom says. “When care is needed, we want people to choose Valley West.”
Ankrom is a certified medical surgical nurse and comes to Valley West with clinical expertise gained through positions in the medical-surgical, emergency, PACU and intensive care areas. In addition, she has held leadership positions as an assistant nurse manager and patient care manager. Ankrom holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Millikin University and a MSN/MBA from Lewis University. She previously worked at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center.
