New Valley West Rehabilitation Services Manager
June 16, 2010
Valley West Community Hospital is pleased to announce the promotion of Chuck Hoffman PT, MPH, licensed physical therapist, as the new Rehabilitation Services Department manager. Valley West Community Hospital, part of the KishHealth System, offers comprehensive rehabilitation services at multiple locations, staffed with highly trained therapists. Hoffman brings 32 years of experience to the position. As manager, Hoffman plans to bring a greater recognition of the services available to the community, and continue providing excellent care to all rehabilitation patients.
Previously working as interim manager for Valley West Rehabilitation Services, Hoffman provided administrative support and resources to the department’s therapists and staff. Now in that role permanently, Hoffman continues his administrative role, and has plans to further develop the department as well. “We have a very professional and knowledgeable staff. Making sure local physicians and the public know about the care and services we offer is a goal,” Hoffman says. “We want people to choose Valley West Rehabilitation Services for their care.”
Hoffman received his bachelor of science degree in physical therapy from Rosalind Franklin University (formerly The Chicago Medical School), his master’s degree in public health administration from Benedictine University, and is currently pursuing a post-graduate degree in physical therapy from Des Moines University. As part of his new position at Valley West, Hoffman is excited to grow with the hospital and the community.
In 2009, Valley West Community Hospital completed a 12,000 square foot addition and renovation project that expanded the Emergency department, Surgical Services, and Maternity Suites. “The recent expansion is a testament to Valley West’s ongoing commitment to the community and people that live here. And I hope to be able to help continue that tradition,” Hoffman says.
