CPR for healthcare providers

The BCLS for Healthcare Providers Course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages, how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED), how to relieve a foreign-body airway obstruction, and use of a bag-mask device.

Tuesday, October 23, at 6 p.m., this course is intended for participants who provide healthcare to patients in a wide variety of situations, including in and out-of-hospital settings. These healthcare providers may include (but are not limited to) nurses, paramedics, EMTs, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, CNAs, and other allied health personnel. The course is also designed for anyone who is required to take a healthcare provider course for employment and may be attended by laypersons.

The cost for this class is $45 and includes the course book. To register, please call 815.786.3962. The BCLS for Healthcare Providers Course is Tuesday, October 23, at 6 p.m. at Valley West Community Hospital. This course is intended for initial CPR certification, and is not a renewal course.
