Valley West Community Hospital is a private, not-for-profit, short term, critical access community hospital. The Emergency Department is staffed around the clock with board-certified emergency medicine physicians. More than 150 physicians on the voluntary, community-based medical staff represent most every specialty. Valley West Hospital offers Labor-Delivery-Recovery-Postpartum (LDRP) suites in the Maternity Suites: Ambulatory (day surgery) services; Medical Unit; an intergenerational approach to patient care; Special Care Unit, which includes intensive care and coronary care; Surgical Unit; Rehabilitative Services; accredited Cancer Care program; Employee Health Services, Employee Assistance Program, Occupational Wellness and Occupational Medicine.

Valley West Hospital is approved by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and licensed by the state for 25 beds. A staff of more than 500 (full-time, part-time, and on-call) includes nurses, technicians, therapists and aides. Other services include Anesthesia; Cardiology Lab and Cardiac Rehab; Sleep Disorders Lab; Pulmonary Rehab; Diabetes Education, a fully accredited Laboratory; 64-slice CT scanner; physical and occupational therapy for adults and children; sports medicine; massage therapy; nuclear medicine; ultrasound; mammography and stereotactic breast biopsy; and Pain Management Clinic. Cancer, Diabetes, Caregiver and Quit Smoking support groups meet at Kish Hospital regularly. Community health education and continuing medical education are also offered.
